People Awards

AWCA People Awards

AWCA recognizes individuals whose exemplary contributions have contributed significantly to the advancement of the wall and ceiling industry in Alberta.  These awards are presented and celebrated to deserving individuals at the Provincial Golf Tournament held annually in Red Deer.

They are called “People Awards” as the awards themselves are named after AWCA members whose impact on the association has been immediate and long serving.

The awards may be presented to individuals outside of the AWCA membership when their contributions have met the criteria.

In addition, in 2013, AWCA recognized a new category, the “Innovator Award”  for an individual who has developed a new, innovative technique, program, procedure or  ‘gadget’ impacting the wall and ceiling industry.  Rachel Curry, Brock White Inc. was the first recipient of this award.
